How the idea was born:
It all started when I looked for a children’s picture book that would also appeal to adults; A book about discovering Silicon Valley in a playful and simple way.
Discovering the features of the Silicon Valley mindset was even more intriguing, simplified in a children’s book, yet with a strong message. These pressing questions arose when I was exploring the fascinations of Silicon Valley.
Bringing up children in the generation of technology is fascinating and challenging at the same time. Parents have no role models in terms of boundary setting for technology use and they compete with cleverly designed and addictive content.
Although I have bought books that I love all around the world, wherever we have lived or visited, I couldn’t find one for kids about Silicon Valley. So I decided to write it myself.
Through the research for my story, I got deeper and deeper into the study of learning, mindset and genius. I am fascinated by the opportunities of technology, augmented and virtual reality learning, while keeping life asset-rich and real.
Finding the balance between embracing the benefits of technology and still giving children enough real life experiences are only some of the challenges of our time.
